Services

Strong through transformation

Our services are diverse. We could be called “active companions” whenever transitions and changes are to be made in companies – a transformation is in progress. Call it consulting when we give advice and propose solutions. Or interim management as project or division manager or members of the advisory board and supervisory board. Our thinking is primarily based on the business opportunities offered by the market and secondarily on finances, which provide the framework for corporate activities and serve for control. This thinking lets us work in the corridor between industry and finance, and often leads us to customers in the area of public and private equity management, and in terms of content to corporate restructuring and M&A.

Business Consultant

Basically, Breitenmoser’s work always includes advisory elements. This aspect runs like the proverbial red thread through all our work areas, which is why we carry out a separation into individual sections with a heavy heart. We listen carefully to you, carry out research on request and answer all your questions. We would be happy to go to «medias res» together with you and turn to specific questions and their answers. These can, for example, consist of developing and implementing a convincing strategy to solve a problem. When it comes to a more complex topic, we speak of project support, where we sometimes intervene, sometimes less.

You decide on a case-by-case basis whether Breitenmoser appears in the background or stays in the background, which is why consulting goes a step further with us and can, for example, consist of controlled negotiation on your behalf. We would also be happy to provide you with active support in establishing sales partnerships or work out a convincing position on the market with you or ensure that you retain and defend the position you have already achieved. Even the integration of innovations – both internally and vis-à-vis your customer base – can be placed in our hands with confidence.

Interim manager

Cooperation with Breitenmoser is often limited in time and tied to the achievement of clearly defined goals. Alternatively, it is also possible that you use us for targeted transitions and thus as interim management. The term comes from Latin and means something like «for the time being», which already includes the time limit. Our work can exist as a project manager as well as a company and division manager as well as a member of the board of directors or advisory board. We see ourselves on the one hand as experienced initiators, but on the other hand gladly as proverbial problem solvers and those who sometimes make, support and implement uncomfortable decisions together with you.

At Breitenmoser, interim management means the absolute willingness to take on responsibility. If it is your wish, we will independently develop the guidelines for our work and speak openly about the goals to be achieved. Transparency towards our clients goes without saying, which also includes the clear naming of obstacles. Temporary management can be recommended if extensive restructuring is required in a company or if a takeover has taken place or is in the house. There are numerous possible scenarios and occasions for our work, but many situations show certain similarities that can be addressed immediately. From our experience, interim management is also suitable for the reorganization of individual company areas and the restoration of profitability. In some cases, it is also necessary to replace entire structures within a company, which is much easier for an outsider than for those who have been associated with the company for decades.

At the beginning of our work there are always discussions about goals, ideas, possibilities but also limits. We try the impossible to create the possible. Not more but also not less.

Financial consultant

Our financial advice – especially in public and private equity management – consists primarily of evaluating investments in markets or individual operations. The aim is to assess opportunities as well as possible risks and side effects of a financial commitment and then steer them in the right direction. The resources used do not necessarily have to consist solely of monetary means, but can also consist of opening up markets, providing employees or other measures. To put it bluntly, we ask critically whether this is worthwhile and what needs to be done to make it worthwhile.

In the area of equity management, we also develop different options and scenarios. There are often various options for continuing to hold an investment, all of which have advantages and disadvantages. We willingly think outside the box and think outside the box. It can also help that we obtain third-party opinions on your behalf and consult with external experts. Of course, we are always ready to negotiate on your behalf and to explore opportunities or to work out and clarify positions.

We are used to working according to targets and being measured against their achievement. Our task in assessing participations can also include advising against engagement or showing you a completely new approach that seems even more profitable. Let yourself be surprised.

Board of directors / supervisory board

The Board of Directors in Switzerland is the supreme management body of the stock corporation. The term board of directors is used both for the committee and for the individual member of the committee. In principle, Breitenmoser shapes his role in the board of directors based on his know-how: This means that he helps to determine the strategic direction together (overall management), supports the organization, control and protects the company from stormy weather (supervisory supervision, risk management, financial control ) or even doom (notification judge). In addition to these statutory tasks, Breitenmoser often takes on a variety of other functions as a networker, coach, door opener, crisis manager, consultant, etc. true. Breitenmoser is also a member of the Supervisory Board in other countries such as Germany. Here he knows the legal differences between the two systems very well.
